New Year’s Eve Events (Entire Midwest)

Happy New Year 2023!

As we come to the close of 2022, I want to take a few moments to look back at some of the amazing Midwest places I visited throughout the year. I posted my first blog post on July 5, 2022, and it was all about Holman’s Table & Cora’s Lounge in Saint Paul, MN. A neat place with delicious food and a fun atmosphere! From there we played some mini golf at Capt’n J’s Miniature Golf in Superior, WI, learned the history of the Grand Hotel in Mackinac Island, MI, and watched some great baseball at Target Field and CHS Field in the Twin Cities, MN. I visited so many incredible places this year, but I have to say visiting the Buddy Holly crash site in Clear Lake, IA was one of my favorites. It was memorable because of the feelings it raised during my visit of the crash site, feelings of sadness and sorrow for the entertainers, their families, and their fans. It was really fascinating researching for the blog post!

I look forward to the Midwest places I will visit in 2023! My plan is to take a few road trips this summer to the states I haven’t written about yet, such as South Dakota, Kansas, Nebraska, Ohio, Indiana, and Missouri. Throughout the year I will also be taking weekend getaways with family and friends, where we will eat at local restaurants, shop at small businesses, and enjoy the great outdoors. I’m so excited about these trips and sharing them with you!

Looking back to a year ago when I had no intentions of starting this blog, and then I see how far it has come – I’m absolutely astonished! I have family and friends to thank for their encouragement (maybe even a push or two 😊) and help along the way! I can’t thank you all enough for visiting this site, and for all the positive feedback and support I’ve received! It means everything to me! Thank you!
